Known issues
This is the current list, not a snapshot of any one release. When something is fixed it comes off this page — rather than staying true forever in an old set of release notes.
If you have hit something that isn't here, please report it.
Space types a space and toggles playback
On macOS, pressing Space while typing in any text box — naming a playlist, searching, adding a tag — also starts or stops the music.
The shortcut is registered as an application menu accelerator, and macOS hands those to the menu before the text field ever sees the key. Use the on-screen controls while typing until this is fixed.
The Now Playing VU meters can look like they're clipping when they aren't
On loud modern masters the peak dot on the large flank meters parks at the top of the scale and stays there.
That endstop sits well below digital full scale, so it is showing loudness, not clipping — which is also why the smaller meter in the player bar disagrees with it. Your audio is not being distorted.
Some Now Playing visualizers are heavy
The busier visualizer modes can drop frames and make the Now Playing view itself feel sluggish — more so on high-resolution displays and in a large window.
Switching to a simpler mode restores responsiveness.
Shuffle is not evenly random
Shuffle orders the queue with a biased sort rather than a true uniform shuffle, so some orderings turn up more often than others. Nothing is skipped and nothing is played twice — but over a long queue it is less varied than it should be.
Pressing Enter does nothing when a tag already exists
In the album tag input, if what you have typed exactly matches a tag that already exists, Enter does nothing at all instead of applying that tag.
Choose the tag from the suggestion list underneath instead.
